I AM BACCHUS

“Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy, it is the wine of a new procreation, and I am Bacchus who presses out this glorious wine for men and makes them drunk with the spirit.”

These words of Beethoven, transcribed by Elizabeth Brentano in a letter to Goethe after a conversation with the Maestro in 1810, are my source of inspiration for this site.  And Bacchus rightfully deserves to be the center of our attention.   

Here, on these pages, wine and music are presented in parallel, in concert, in a duet of delicious parables about symphonies and scores and oenophile experiences.
